PATTERN INFORMATION
The Be Square Dress is a lovely, spacious dress, you can wear throughout most of the year. It is knitted on medium sized needles, so it won’t be too hot during the warmer months. It has a nice and easy to knit pattern.
It is worked top down, so you can easily adjust the length for your height by trying it on during the process. This means you can cut the dress off at the waist and make it a slipover instead. Firstly, the back piece is worked back and forth, followed by the left and then the right shoulder, which are gathered to create the front piece. Afterwards you will join the back and front pieces to work the body of the dress in the round. At the bottom, the dress is again divided into back and front pieces to create a split hem, which gives the legs some room to move. Finally, a ribbed hem is added along the armholes and the neckline.
